Job summary

Harvey Vogel Manufacturing in Minnesota is seeking a Tap and Drill Setup/Operator to support production by setting up, running, and troubleshooting tapping and drilling equipment to meet customer specs.

You will read blueprints, install tooling, verify hole sizes with calipers and micrometers, document results, address quality issues, and perform preventive maintenance following safety procedures. Strong mechanical aptitude required.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Blueprint/drawing interpretation and basic computer record-keeping.
• Experience with measuring tools and sheet metal fabrication processes.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate tapping/drilling and related secondary equipment.
• Install and fine-tune taps, drills, fixtures, and tooling.
• Read blueprints, engineering drawings and work orders; verify hole size and threads.
• Complete in-process checks and document production/quality results; address tooling, machine, and part-quality issues.
