Job summary

Deringer-Ney Inc. seeks a Swiss Machine Operator to perform setup, operation, and inspection of screw machines. You will ensure parts meet quality specs, follow documented procedures, and assist in process improvements while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Responsibilities include verifying documentation, monitoring production, recording setup notes, and coordinating with supervisors; prior machine operator experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school education is required.
• Blueprint reading and Geometric Tolerance understanding.
• Strong communication skills.
• Prior machine operator experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify shop order docs match Job Order, Print, Setup and Offset Sheets.
• Monitor part production to meet quality requirements; correct tool wear.
• Follow quality procedures and current measuring methods.
• Collaborate with programmer/supervisor on part/process development.
• Clean machine at end of run to prevent cross contamination.
• Record notes on setup sheet for investigation by supervisor.
• Maintain clean, safe machine operation; monitor fluids.
• Keep tooling/workstation neat and orderly.
• Assist with external setup tasks to minimize downtime.
• Prepare rod stock using department lathe.
• Clean scrap turnings from screw machines.
• Notify supervisor of supply shortages or safety hazards.
• Perform equipment sumping when required.
• Assist with parts handling at ultrasonic cleaning system.
