Weiss-Aug – New Kensington, PA is seeking a Surface Grinder to set up, program, and operate grinding equipment for precision tooling components. You will read blueprints, align tools, and inspect parts to ensure tight tolerances meet specifications.

Qualifications

• Blueprint reading and drafting basics are required.
• Strong mathematical skills for tolerances and measurements.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate grinding equipment to produce tooling components.
• Read blueprints/CAD/CAM files for part specifications.
• Align and adjust cutting tools and workpieces.
• Grind parts to high-tolerance specifications.
• Measure and inspect completed components for conformance.
• Record labor time spent on each job.
• Present products to Die Assembly or shipping.
• Compute and verify dimensions, sizes, tolerances.
• Assist customers with various manufacturing processes as needed.
• Ensure work area safety and equipment condition.
