Job summary

Hendrick Manufacturing in Carbondale, PA is seeking a Machine Technician to set up and operate at least two manually or CNC surface grinders with limited supervision. You will prepare tooling to print and follow shop orders for efficient production.

Responsibilities include sharpening perforating tooling, inspecting tooling for defects, and maintaining setup and punch usage records. Reading blueprints and using calipers/micrometers are required, with lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted and standing

Qualifications

• Requires basic math and reading skills.
• Reads a ruler, set calipers, reads a blueprint and a micrometer.
• Operates tool service equipment.
• Lift up to 50 lbs unassisted; 80 lbs assisted.
• Standing for up to 8 hours with bending and stooping as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate at least two manually or CNC surface grinders with minimal supervision.
• Resharpen perforating tooling by precision grinding.
• Inspect perforating tooling for defects and worn components.
• Read shop orders or work instructions and set up tooling accordingly.
• Maintain records on tool setup and punch usage.
