Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an Assembler for 1st shift in Westlake, OH to build mechanical and electronic sub-assemblies from detailed drawings and schematics. You will work at your own workstation using hand and power tools, ensuring quality and collaborating with a team-focused group.

The role emphasizes reading blueprints, interpreting schematics, and precise assembly. It is a contract-to-hire position onsite with daytime hours and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in small-parts mechanical or electronic assembly in a nonassembly-line environment.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and detailed assembly drawings.
• Hands-on experience using hand and power tools for assembly and basic repairs.
• Mechanical assembly skills with sub-assemblies and electronic components.
• Ability to perform visual inspections to verify assembly quality.
• Strong mechanical aptitude for intricate parts and assemblies.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Build mechanical and electronic sub-assemblies per drawings and schematics.
• Work at an individual workstation to complete varied sub-assembly builds.
• Use hand and power tools safely to assemble and adjust parts.
• Visually inspect finished sub-assemblies for quality and defects.
• Assist with setup, adjustments, rework, and basic repairs.
• Follow assembly documentation with high accuracy.
• Collaborate with team to meet production and quality goals.
