Job summary

Met-Con, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Structural Steel Fitter for 2nd shift in Cocoa, FL. You will lay out, position, align, and fit fabricated parts per blueprints, operate overhead cranes, and use cutting and heating torches safely.

Expect to perform heat corrections, check camber/sweep tolerances, and set up complex jigs while maintaining high safety and quality standards. You will contribute to a team focused on precision, reliability, and timely project completion, with competitive pay and

Qualifications

• Superior level layout and math skills.
• Complete understanding of pre-heat functions.
• Ability to set up and use track torch.
• Must pass tack tests F.A.C.W. (Flux Core) welding.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, align, and fit fabricated parts per blueprint and layout specifications.
• Operate overhead cranes and use heating torches safely.
• Perform heat corrections and check camber and sweep tolerances on beams and steel shapes.
• Set up complex jigs or assemblies and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Adhere to codes, quality procedures, and communicate effectively with team.
