Job summary

Triple-S Steel in Dallas is seeking a motivated Production Equipment Operator to join our team. This non-exempt role reads and executes work orders to meet customer requirements, operates material handling and fabrication equipment, and reports to the Operations Manager.

You will work indoors and outdoors, withstand various weather, handle lifting requirements, and participate in ongoing safety training. Overtime may be required to satisfy customer needs, and you will contribute to a culture

Qualifications

• Ability to correctly read and understand work orders and/or receive oral instructions.
• Ability to effectively use basic computer applications.
• Demonstrate intermediate math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Ability to meet or exceed minimum productivity levels.
• Ability to plan and organize work activities independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe methods of work at all times and report unsafe conditions.
• Manipulate, cut, and form raw material per work orders.
• Maintain and safely operate tools and equipment (tape measure, caliper, CNC burning table, band saw, iron worker, forklift, overhead crane).
• Lift up to 25–40 pounds; move objects; work up to 2 miles daily; climb stairs and equipment with PPE.
• Communicate with other departments regarding routing, safety, and customer relations.
