Job summary

Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. seeks a Spot Weld Operator in Ohio to set up and operate spot weld machinery, adjust welder settings, and program for each job. You will load parts, inspect welds, and ensure quality using gauges and ERP input for part information.

Responsibilities include maintaining weld quality, performing light machine maintenance, and following safety procedures on a daily basis. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and basic math and computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to operate cranes, overhead hoists.
• Ability to use quality inspection equipment.
• Proficient and basic math and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety and environmental procedures.
• Come to work everyday, on time as scheduled.
• Proficient communication skills.
• Accurately read and use quality tools to ensure quality parts. Examine welds and unload parts to ensure they meet standards and specifications to verify product quality.
• Use computer to enter part information/inventory in ERP system.
• Use of spot weld technology.
• Load, setup, operate spot welding equipment.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance and repair and setup to keep spot welder running smoothly and reduce downtime.
• Examine weld during welding process,
• Inspect and green tag first piece.
• Execute scheduling board
• Ability to use motorized walking stacker.
