Job summary

MEC (Mayville Engineering Company, Inc.) is seeking a Spot Weld Operator to set up and operate spot weld equipment on the production floor. You will load parts, adjust weld settings, and program the machine to meet job specifications, while ensuring weld quality through inspection and measurement.

Responsibilities include following safety procedures, reading quality tools, entering part data in the ERP system, and performing basic preventive maintenance to keep equipment running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to operate cranes/overhead hoists.
• Ability to use quality inspection equipment.
• Proficient math and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety and environmental procedures.
• Load, setup, and operate spot welding equipment.
• Position parts and load/unload in fixture; activate welder.
• Enter part information in the ERP system.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Inspect welds and verify quality with measurement tools.
