Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required with basic algebra/geometry/trigonometry.
• 3–5 years in complex machine building or repair; automotive experience is acceptable.
• Knowledge of bearings, bearing theory, and proper assembly protocols.
• Ability to read complex blueprints and bills of materials.
• Proficient with precision measuring devices and inspection software preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; teamwork oriented.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, evaluate, and assemble precision spindles to OEM or Setco specs.
• Inspect components against prints and specifications.
• Disassemble, test, and install motors and electrical components including wiring and soldering.
• Clean, lubricate, and mount precision bearings with proper handling.
• Use tools and calculations to ensure proper bearing preload and arrangement.
• Record labor hours in MRP/ERP systems for accurate production tracking.
