Job summary

ITW is seeking a Soldering Operator in the United States to assemble and solder electronic and mechanical components for flowmeters and related products. You will perform precision hand soldering, including SMT and through-hole work, following approved instructions and IPC-A-610 criteria.

You will ensure safe, reliable, high-quality assemblies while meeting production schedules and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. IPC training and prior experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 1 year of electronic assembly or soldering experience preferred.
• Experience with SMT and through-hole components preferred.
• IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 training preferred; equivalent knowledge considered.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lay out work using routing sheets and bills of material.
• Perform precision hand soldering on SMT and through-hole components.
• Prepare components and PCBs for soldering: tinning, forming, cleaning.
• Inspect solder joints and assemblies for workmanship and conformance.
• Maintain a clean workstation and follow safety procedures.
• Complete production records and traceability documentation.
