Job summary

Astrix Technology in Trumbull, CT is seeking a Soldering Technician to join our world-leading medical device manufacturing team. This contract position pays $19-$21/hr and runs 1st shift Mon-Thurs 6:00 AM–4:30 PM, in a regulated production setting.

The role focuses on assembling electromechanical components, testing, and packaging to meet quality standards. Prior soldering experience and a high school diploma are preferred, with opportunities to convert or extend the contract.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of electromechanical or hands-on assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with hand tools and small-part assembly.
• Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to read and follow written procedures.
• Soldering experience preferred.
• Medical device or regulated manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, test, and package electromechanical components and finished products per work instructions and quality standards.
• Assemble small, precision components using hand tools and magnification equipment.
• Build sub-assemblies and finished products per work instructions.
• Perform basic mechanical and electrical testing.
• Maintain a clean and organized production area.
• Follow safety, PPE, ESD, and clean room requirements.
• Identify quality concerns and communicate issues to leadership.
