Job summary

A manufacturing company in California is seeking an experienced SMT machine operator to oversee the SMT process. Responsibilities include monitoring production flow, troubleshooting component placement, and maintaining machine cleanliness. Qualifications

• At least two years of surface mount experience and machine operations.
• Ability to read work orders and follow production drawings.
• Strong understanding of IPC‑610/J‑STD standards class II & III.

Responsibilities

• Monitor product through the entire SMT process.
• Operate and monitor an automated SMT insertion machine.
• Hand solder and desolder components as needed.

Skills

Experience with YAMAHA Pick & Place Machine

Knowledge of solder pastes

Experience operating screen printing machines

LED Assembly knowledge

Production manufacturing methods

Understanding of IPC‑610/J‑STD standards

Good manual dexterity

Computer literacy

Ability to identify component polarity

Experience with programming surface mount equipment
