Top Prospect Group is seeking an EDM Specialist for a Bloomfield, CT facility. The role focuses on programming, setting up, and operating sinker EDM machines, with emphasis on precision and electrode manufacture using a surface grinder. Experience with AgieCharmilles FORM 20 is a plus.

The candidate will read blueprints, inspect parts to tight tolerances, and collaborate with moldmakers and engineers on complex mold builds. This is a permanent, full-time position offering stability and growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of sinker EDM experience.
• Ability to program and run EDM machines independently.
• Strong precision inspection skills to ±0.0002 inches.
• Familiarity with blueprints and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and run sinker EDM machines.
• Write and adjust programs as needed (FORM 20 experience preferred).
• Manufacture electrodes using a surface grinder.
• Inspect electrodes and finished parts with precision tools.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized EDM work area.
• Collaborate with moldmakers and engineers on builds and repairs.
