Job summary

EXALTA is seeking an experienced operator to set up, operate and tend silicone rubber injection molding presses, ensuring parts meet specifications. You will read blueprints and work orders, plan production sequences, and monitor machines for proper function while performing basic maintenance.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy are essential. The role requires experience with precision measurement tools, ability to work in ISO/FDA environments, and the capacity to document production data

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of silicone injection molding experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints.
• Proficient in the use of calipers, micrometers, pin gauges and drop indicators.
• Experience in ISO/FDA environment preferred.
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes and quality control.
• Excellent manual dexterity, hand/eye coordination.
• Ability to be highly accurate with a high attention to detail.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Ability to read and comprehend work instructions.
• Ability to repeat the same physical and mental activities over and over.
• Ability to maintain a sense of urgency, handle stressful situations, multitask and prioritize work.
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as autonomously.
• Ability to communicate and interact effectively, professionally and constructively.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and tend silicone rubber injection molding machines to mold parts and meet customer requirements.
• Read specifications, blueprints, and work orders to determine setups, temperatures, and time settings required to mold rubber materials, as well as plan production sequences.
• Observe continuous operation of automatic machines to ensure proper functionality and to ensure that molded components meet specifications and make adjustments as necessary.
• Measure and visually inspect molded components for surface and dimension defects and to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
• Preparation of all molds and components prior to molding.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as needed and maintain maintenance logs.
• Document production data in ERP system and maintain required paperwork.
• Meet established setup and production efficiency and effectiveness standards.
