FASTSIGNS Pittsburgh is seeking a Sign Production Artist who blends digital design with hands-on fabrication. You’ll pre-flight Illustrator files, operate high-end printers, CNC routers, and laminators, and apply graphics to substrates with precision.

This is not a desk job—you are the heartbeat of the shop, turning ideas into physical signs while maintaining a clean, lean production area. You’ll enjoy a Monday–Friday schedule with opportunities for advancement and training.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Illustrator with vector paths, layers, and file prep for production.
• Comfortable with light power tools and precise vinyl application.
• Attention to detail with clean, waste-free results.

Responsibilities

• The 'Pre-Flight' Expert: Prepare Illustrator files for production with correct cut paths and color profiles.
• Precision Fabrication: Operate flatbed printers, CNC routers/cutters, and laminators.
• Vinyl application: Weeding, masking and applying graphics to substrates without bubbles.
• Quality Commander: Final QA to ensure edges are clean and color accurate.
• Shop Synergy: Maintain a lean, organized production area and basic machine upkeep.
