Job summary

Triad Technologies, LLC is seeking a full-time shipping clerk in Elgin, IL to verify and process incoming and outgoing shipments. You will prepare items for shipment, review orders, and coordinate with freight carriers, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery.

The role requires attention to detail, math skills, and the ability to lift 50–75 lbs. A forklift certification can be obtained with training. Typical hours are 7:30–4:30, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• GED; and 6 months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Reads and follow written work instructions
• Possess strong mathematical skills
• Able to measure and read/interpret blueprints when needed
• Able to use standard hand and power tools
• Must be able to lift 50-75 lbs.
• Ability to become forklift certified (we can train)
• Excellent attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment.
• Review and prioritize daily shipping orders when received.
• Pull all parts as indicated on the shipping orders, assemble and other components if necessary.
• Call freight carriers and complete required paperwork when needed.
• Load and unload trucks; inspect containers and report damage or shortages.
• Compare information and count, weigh, or measure items against records.
• Determine method of shipment and affix shipping labels.
• Assemble or select containers and insert items, seal with tape.
• Unpack incoming shipments, record damaged items and shortages, and coordinate with shippers.
• Route items to appropriate locations and inspect outgoing shipments for specifications.
• Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Make product deliveries to local customers on occasion.
• Other duties as assigned.
