Qualifications

• Must have GED or equivalent; 6–12 months related experience or training, or equivalent
• Reads and follows written work instructions accurately
• Possesses strong mathematical skills and attention to detail
• Able to measure and interpret blueprints when needed
• Able to use standard hand and power tools
• Must be able to lift 50–75 lbs and become forklift certified if needed

Responsibilities

• Review and prioritize daily shipping orders when received.
• Pull all parts as indicated on shipping orders and assemble as needed.
• Call freight carrier and complete required paperwork.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Inspect containers and report damage or missing items.
• Verify items against bills/invoices/orders.
• Determine method of shipment and affix labels.
• Assemble/prepare containers for items.
• Inserts items into containers and secures with tape.
• Unpack and examine incoming shipments, report shortages.
• Route items to appropriate locations.
• Inspect outgoing shipments for compliance with specs.
• Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Make product deliveries to local customers on occasion.
• Other duties as assigned.
