Job summary

Engineered Floors in Dalton, GA is seeking a Coating Sew On Operator to sew greige rolls together for continuous coater operation. Responsibilities include matching rolls to the daily schedule, sewing in correct order, attaching change flags, and maintaining proper carpet tension and alignment.

You will also log defects in the system and assist with start-up/shut-down and change-overs. The role requires basic reading/writing, arithmetic, and data entry skills, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Read and write effectively.
• Basic math skills.
• Computer knowledge or data entry skills are a necessary part of the job.

Responsibilities

• Obtain schedule for the day and match each roll sewn into the schedule.
• Responsible for ensuring rolls are sewn on in the correct order.
• Attach flags to rolls as necessary to identify upcoming changes in the product.
• Monitor J-boxes for carpet level and maintain sufficient carpet to ensure continuous operation.
• Keep the area around sew-on clean. Assist in thread-up of coater and start-up and shut-down or change-overs.
• Communicate any issues to supervisor/lead immediately.
