Job summary

PennEngineering in Winston-Salem, NC seeks a Screw Machine Operator to run multiple spindle automatic screw machines, performing rough and finish turning, facing, drilling and tapping per drawings. You will follow safety procedures, adjust tools, and ensure parts meet quality standards with supervision as needed.

Responsibilities include tool setup, part inspection, material handling, and keeping work areas clean.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to read blueprints is a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic measurement skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates multiple spindle automatic screw machines for rough and finish turning, facing, boring, drilling and tapping per drawings.
• Sets up machines, follows procedures, verifies parts meet tolerance using gauges and inspection practices.
• Maintains material in stock to prevent downtime and collaborates with Team Leader for process improvements.
• Inspects parts, sharpens and resets tools as needed, and records production and quality data.
• Maintains clean, safe work area and reports anomalies or tool wear to supervisors.
