Job summary

QXO is a leading distributor and installer of building products. We are seeking candidates for production roles in Florida to operate saws, set up equipment, and process materials per specifications.

You will monitor output, verify measurements, perform quality checks, and maintain a safe, organized workspace. Ideal candidates have experience with production equipment, strong math and measurement skills, and can work overtime when production schedules require it.

Qualifications

• Experience operating saws or production equipment.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Experience in manufacturing, woodworking, or building materials preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Operate saws and production equipment safely and efficiently.
• Set up, calibrate, and adjust equipment to meet specs.
• Review work orders and production schedules for accuracy.
• Cut materials to specified dimensions and angles.
• Monitor output to maintain efficiency and minimize waste.
• Inspect materials for defects prior to processing.
• Verify dimensions and cut accuracy throughout production.
• Conduct routine quality checks to ensure standards.
• Identify and report equipment issues promptly.
• Coordinate workflow with team members and support production goals.
• Assist with training and coaching team members as needed.
• Maintain organized workstation and perform basic maintenance.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of machinery and area.
• Follow all safety policies and PPE requirements.
• Report malfunction or safety concerns immediately.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
