Job summary

BTX Precision is seeking a Saw Operator to safely and accurately prepare raw material by operating band saw equipment per work orders and specifications. You will ensure material is cut to dimensions, properly labeled, and transacted in the ERP system with strong emphasis on traceability.

The role collaborates with Materials Control, Production Control, Production, and Quality to ensure material readiness, while training teammates in saw operation and maintaining a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read work orders, drawings, and material specifications.
• Experience with measuring tools like tape measures and calipers preferred.
• ERP or inventory-system experience preferred.
• Forklift/hoist/crane experience preferred; certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Operate horizontal and vertical band saws safely and efficiently.
• Review work orders, drawings, cut instructions, and material requirements before cutting.
• Measure and cut materials to specified dimensions and quantities.
• Identify and label cut pieces and ensure material traceability.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and support material flow.
