Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure in Fort Worth is seeking a Saw Operator to retrieve, inspect, and cut products to customer specifications. You will operate the saw, keep the workspace clean, and assist in maintaining production records.

This role prefers prior manufacturing experience and the ability to read drawings, work with metric units, perform basic arithmetic, and lift up to 40 lbs. Safety and quality are priorities; you will notify supervisors of any non-conforming product or machine issues and

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend drawings & quantities.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100’s.
• Ability to perform these operations using metric units.
• Ability to deal with problems involving repairs, patching & overall working of the saw.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operates saw.
• Inspects and cuts parts for shipment per Operator instructions.
• Maintains records of production and quality issues as specified.
• Notifies supervisor of non-conforming product or problems with machine.
• Communicates saw issues with the next saw operator.
• Patches parts/scrap as needed.
• Keeps saw & yard area clean and neat.
• Occasional use of cleaning chemicals and power tools.
