Job summary

Titan Metallurgy in Oak Park, MI seeks a Saw Operator / CNC Machinist to perform precision machining and sample preparation per customer specs and laboratory standards. You will operate vertical bandsaws, CNC lathes, CNC mills, and surface grinders to produce parts to exact requirements in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires reading blueprints, verifying tolerances with calipers and micrometers, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace while meeting production quality.

Qualifications

• Must be experienced in CNC mills and lathe machining.
• Must be experienced in bandsaw use.
• Able to read and understand blueprints.
• Must read measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measure).
• CNC programming experience required; forklift certification preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for a majority of shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision machining and cutting of metallurgical samples.
• Interpret technical requirements to ensure accuracy in sample production.
• Maintain a safe and efficient machining environment.
• Operate vertical bandsaws, CNC lathes, CNC mills, and surface grinders.
• Read work orders and verify part specifications against tolerances.
