Job summary

Sunland Asphalt & Construction, LLC is seeking a Saw Cutter to operate concrete and asphalt cutting equipment across multiple project sites. You will cut roads, curbs, slabs and more, maintaining precision while adhering to safety standards.

The role requires lifting up to 75 lbs, standing for long periods, and working in varied weather. Travel to project sites and strong teamwork are essential to integrate cutting tasks with overall site operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience as a Saw Cutter or in a similar role preferred.
• Familiarity with operating concrete and asphalt cutting equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and safety practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Operate concrete and asphalt saws (flat, wall, handheld) to cut roads, curbs, slabs, sidewalks, and other structures.
• Assess cutting depth and blade performance; adjust for quality.
• Follow safety protocols and use PPE; be aware of site hazards.
• Collaborate with foremen, operators, and laborers to integrate cutting tasks with site operations.
• Assist with site preparation and cleanup; establish barriers around cutting locations.
• Document time, material usage, and equipment maintenance in logs or tickets.
