Job summary

Athena Manufacturing is seeking a Sandblaster Operator in Austin, TX. You will safely remove coatings, prepare parts for painting, troubleshoot equipment, and perform routine maintenance to ensure smooth production.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, preparing surfaces, masking areas, and documenting work in ERP systems while coordinating with the lead for accurate paperwork. Requires HS diploma/GED and 2 years of experience, with 1–3 years of surface prep preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of consistent working experience.
• 1–3 years of surface preparation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate safety equipment and follow safe work habits.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Check equipment for proper operation and scheduled maintenance.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and shop orders for setup and sequence.
• Prepare surfaces and remove existing coatings prior to painting.
• Accurately document work completed in ERP system and Shop Floor Manager.
