Job summary

Sperry & Rice, LLC combines innovative engineering solutions, advanced manufacturing processes, and quality controls to produce precision rubber and cellular components for appliance, automotive, transportation, HVAC, and truck industries.

The general production position performs all tasks involved in the production of the company's products in any/all of the production areas of the plant including mixing, extrusion, forming, finishing, etc.

Qualifications

• Read manufacturing specifications & blueprints to ensure proper quality.
• Teamwork oriented.
• Ability to move/lift 50 lbs.
• Basic reading, writing and math skills.
• Ability to work independently or with a team with solid communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail for quality, production, and safety purposes.
• Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
• Able to work on feet for extended periods of time.
• Work overtime as required.
• Follow all safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs all work as assigned by department supervisor
• Follow all standard operating procedures for the department
• Understand and successfully meet production and quality targets
• Report any productivity or quality issue to supervisor of the area
• Complete daily production reporting neatly and accurately
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
