Job summary

Clayton is seeking a Roof Truss Builder in North Carolina to construct roof trusses for our building facilities. You will read cut sheets and blueprints to ensure trusses meet standards, verify components on the table, and ensure proper nail placement and overhang on every unit.

The role emphasizes reliability, attention to detail, and teamwork, with opportunities to contribute to production goals and quality outcomes within a collaborative factory setting at Clayton Supply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; or equivalent experience.
• Must have the ability to work well with a partner.
• Must have a passion for quality and be naturally attentive to details.
• Must be reliable and able to work at an efficient pace.
• Demonstrates honesty and integrity. Has a strong work ethic. Displays a great attitude and models teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Read a cut sheet and blueprint to build trusses that meet the approved standards.
• Check parts on assigned table/press to ensure proper set up of jig, cord, parts, and nails according to individual truss blueprint.
• Ensure proper nail placement, overhang and king post on every unit produced.
• Be able to meet production requirements in a timely manner while also ensuring the quality of each truss.
• Other duties as assigned
