Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. is seeking a Rolling Operator in Montvale, NJ to manufacture strip material with tight tolerances. You will operate rolling mills, set up materials, and observe gauges to ensure high-quality output.

Requirements include reading micrometers/calipers accurately, safety awareness, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Training and cross-training in cladding will be provided. Good teamwork and following procedures are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read micrometer/caliper with high precision.
• Must be able to lift materials up to 50 lbs by hand or with lifting tools.
• Must be safety conscious with strong mechanical aptitude and math skills.
• Willingness to learn new machinery and tooling.
• Ability to work with others and follow department rules.

Responsibilities

• Operate rolling mills to reduce strip metal to specified thickness within tight tolerances.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment following 6S principles.
• Position material in rolling mill; adjust rolls and guides to size and dimensions.
• Observe gauges and measurement devices to ensure quality material.
• Support cladding operations and train on related equipment as assigned.
• Interpret and follow shop work orders; coordinate with OPEX engineering for efficiency.
