Job summary

Accelera is seeking a Rolling Mill Operator to manage setup and operation of steel rolling machinery. You will shape metal into plates, rolls, or bends, temper or reduce thickness, and ensure finished products meet strict quality standards.

Responsibilities include loading materials, inspecting dimensions, and adjusting machine controls. Candidates should be organized, safety-conscious, and capable of teamwork in a heavy manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational/technical training advantageous.
• At least 1 year of industrial machine operation experience with ability to read diagrams/blueprints.
• Proficiency with hand tools and precision measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).

Responsibilities

• Oversee machine cycles and mill performance to ensure output meets specifications.
• Load steel coils, plates, or slabs into equipment for rolling processes.
• Inspect materials and finished products to verify quality and thickness tolerances.
• Set up and secure mandrels, guides, and rolls per production orders.
• Adjust controls to regulate mill speed for shaping and tempering material.
• Transport materials to production zones using forklifts or cranes.
• Maintain equipment and perform routine lubrication and cleaning per safety protocols.
• Support cross-training and staff development as needed.
