Responsibilities

• Set up the rewind machine for the job, including blades, cores, and copy position.
• Operate the rewind machine to break large press rolls into finished customer rolls.
• Review labels and rolls for quality and consistency.
• Perform splices where two rolls are taped together; verify product IDs and visually inspect with supervisor sign-off.
• Verify Core IDs for finished rolls and confirm correct IDs before packaging.
• Place finished rolls in the correct box; ensure IDs match before shipping or stocking.
• Communicate issues with labels, including over/under runs, label quality, or ID questions with supervision.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow Fortis policies.
