Job summary

Staffing Network in Oak Forest, IL is seeking a reliable Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse team. The role involves receiving incoming materials, inspecting shipments, and ensuring proper labeling and storage, with daily documentation and safety procedures. Extended hours may be required, including occasional Saturdays.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM; location: Oak Forest. Medical insurance is provided as a benefit. Pay is $18.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Previous receiving, warehouse, or inventory-control experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Comfortable using scanners, computers, and warehouse documentation systems.
• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 40-50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Must be dependable and available for mandatory extended hours when needed.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, damage, and overall condition.
• Take and upload photos of all received materials.
• Verify quantities and product quality against purchase orders and receiving documents.
• Document and report shortages, discrepancies, damaged materials, or incorrect shipments.
• Label and store products in their designated warehouse locations, including shipping, raw material, corrugated, cage, and cold-room areas.
• Maintain accurate receiving records and documentation.
• Scan and upload all receiving documents into required systems within 24 hours of receipt.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors regarding deliveries as needed.
• Keep the receiving area clean, safe, organized, and ready for daily operations.
• Follow all warehouse safety procedures and company policies.
