Job summary

Saab is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our team in the United States. You will inspect incoming materials, components and products to ensure they meet prescribed requirements, working closely with Quality, Warehouse and Manufacturing teams.

The role requires attention to detail, proficiency with computers and MS Office, and experience with measuring tools. You will document findings, maintain records, and support audits, root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Comfortable using computers and learning software programs
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong time management skills

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming materials, components and products using visual, mechanical, and measurement techniques.
• Verify materials against engineering drawings, specifications, purchase order, and quality requirements.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, and other inspection tools.
• Collect and maintain related quality records.
• Use of a computer-based ERP system for data entry and inventory management.
• Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming materials.
• Assist in first article and sampling inspections, as requested.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement and root cause analysis activities, as requested.
• Assist with audits and quality system documentation, as needed.
