Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Mixer Driver in Scottsdale, AZ to safely operate ready-mix trucks and ensure product quality from plant to job site. You will perform pre-trip checks, monitor slump, coordinate with dispatch, and maintain clean equipment while representing the company professionally.

Requirements include a CDL Class A or B, a DOT medical card, at least 1 year of heavy vehicle experience, and a strong focus on safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or relevant experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience operating a commercial vehicle with multi-speed transmission.
• Valid CDL Class A or B in good standing.
• Valid DOT medical card.
• Familiarity with concrete production characteristics.
• Excellent communication skills (written and spoken).
• Meticulous and highly organized.
• Ability to operate safely around job sites and comply with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy-duty ready-mix trucks in compliance with all DOT, state, and federal regulations, as well as safety standards.
• Access job sites safely to avoid hazards and determine unloading position.
• Assemble concrete chutes and operate hydraulic chute controls during pours.
• Coordinate with Dispatch to determine routes and minimize time in drum.
• Visually inspect slump and load size before leaving plant and on arrival at the job site.
• Maintain mixer and truck cleanliness.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Perform minor roadside repairs or assist maintenance.
• Act as brand ambassador with professional appearance.
• Manage delivery tickets and paperwork.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers via radio, signals, or verbal instruction.
• Follow LOTO procedures and wear safety gear.
