Job summary

Quikrete is seeking a Ready-Mix Driver in Arizona to transport concrete from batch plants to customer sites and unload loads while maintaining proper slump. You will inspect and service the mixer truck, follow dispatch directions, and operate safely in varying shifts.

The role requires a Class B CDL with DOT medical qualification, and you may be asked to participate in pre-employment drug testing and background checks.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) at a minimum; Class A preferred.
• Must possess, or be able to obtain, a current DOT Medical Qualification.
• Air brake skills test required for all vehicles with air brakes.
• Must meet Driver Qualification Standards for the operating company.
• Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug testing.
• Must be able to pass fitness for duty evaluation.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ready-mix concrete to customer job sites and unload.
• Maintain proper slump (water content) of concrete.
• Inspect, service, and clean concrete mixer truck.
• Follow dispatch instructions and handle delivery tickets accurately.
• Drive truck safely and efficiently and maintain radio contact with dispatch.
• Inspect job sites for safe maneuverability; ensure equipment is ready.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report vehicle condition.
• Assist mechanics with vehicle repairs as needed; perform daily maintenance.
