Job summary

City of Lincoln in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a Ready-Mix Driver to safely operate a ready-mix truck and deliver concrete to industrial, commercial, and residential sites. This role supports plant operations, production assistance, equipment maintenance, and safety standards.

You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, monitor concrete slump, maintain equipment, and complete DOT logs as required. A Class B license with tanker endorsement and English proficiency are required; you must be

Qualifications

Valid class B driver's license and current medical.
Tanker endorsement required.
Minimum 6 months of driving experience.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Reliable transportation and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Operates a ready-mix truck safely and efficiently, adhering to DOT and Holliday rules.
Perform proper pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Visually inspect the consistency of concrete in the mixer and ensure proper slump.
Maintain equipment cleanliness.
Complete and maintain a DOT Daily Logbook if required.
Understand and communicate job hazards to supervisors and fellow drivers.
Maintain a professional attitude with coworkers and customers.
Follow Hours-of-Service regulations and work up to 16 hours with up to 11 hours of driving per day.
Wear proper PPE at all times.
