Job summary

MicroVision is seeking an experienced Operations Quality Engineer in Orlando, FL to support daily quality issues and yield improvements on MicroVision supplied products. The role involves IQC/FQC inspections and testing to verify conformance with drawings and quality standards.

You will collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to trace faults, define root causes, and implement containment and 8D actions while monitoring KPIs like FPY, scrap, and DPPM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in an engineering or technical field.
• 3+ years’ experience in quality related roles.

Responsibilities

• Assist manufacturing teams on fault tracing and troubleshooting issues related to MicroVision supplied products.
• Work with cross-functional teams to analyze and investigate quality issues, defects or non-conformities to define the problem scope and identify root causes, supporting 8D activities.
• Respond quickly to quality issues and implement containment to isolate non-conforming products and issue Quality Alerts to minimize risk.
• Inspect and test defective parts for conformance to engineering specifications and customer requirements using precision measuring/testing equipment.
• Provide support for new program part launches and process changes including change requests and safe launch plans.
• Support APQP for PFMEA and Control Plans development.
• Develop and document procedures and standard work instructions adhering to MicroVision Quality Management System.
• Monitor process capability and quality metrics.
• Analyze production data and identify improvement opportunities.
• Partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to reduce defects and scrap.
• Track KPIs such as FPY, scrap, rework, DPPM, COPQ
