Qualifications

• High School Diploma with strong background in inspection of machined components.
• Fundamental knowledge of metrology, SPC, GD&T; experience with CMM, vision systems and automated inspection systems.
• Experience handling complicated specifications and drawings; able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to concentrate daily with eye/hand coordination and visual acuity.

Responsibilities

• Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, verniers and vision systems; program and operate automated inspection equipment.
• Plan and lay out new fixtures and tools; ensure inspection equipment is in good repair; log data in databases.
• Inspect in-process work before moving to subsequent operations and prior to shipment.
• Inspect specially manufactured units for Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering departments; ensure proper machine parameters.
• Make decisions on acceptable quality within process specifications and QC manual.
