Job summary

Cadrex is seeking a Quality Inspector I to support site manufacturing through development, evaluation and continual improvement of processes to meet customer quality expectations. You will use measuring devices, read blueprints, and visually inspect products to ensure compliance.

Responsibilities include documenting results, quarantining non-conforming items, inspecting incoming materials, and participating in department meetings.

Qualifications

• Must understand industry safety standards and quality expectations.
• 1+ years in metal fabrication with hands-on inspection in a QMS environment preferred.
• Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short memos, and correspond.
• Able to present information clearly in one-on-one and small group settings.

Responsibilities

• Use calipers, micrometers, height gauge and other measuring devices.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Perform visual inspection of product per customer requirements.
• Inspect in-process and finished product.
• Document inspection results in reports/logs.
• Identify and quarantine non-conforming product.
• Generate non-conforming reports for discrepant products.
• Keep measurement equipment operating and address any issues.
• Inspect and approve incoming materials meeting specifications.
