Job summary

MKS Instruments is hiring for an Inspector role where you will partner with Engineering, Tech Ops, Quality, Production, Service and customers to inspect products. You will report to the Sr. Prin Quality Engineer and support incoming material inspections and documentation.

The position requires 2+ years of experience in inspection, familiarity with drawing interpretation, and the ability to use inspection equipment. Benefits include health, 401(k), and paid time off.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related inspection experience
• IPC 610 and 620 certifications preferred
• Inspection of sheet metal and/or cables & wire assemblies preferred
• Piece part inspection experience
• Experience with Oracle, Agile, MS Office and Copilot preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings; maintain records

Responsibilities

• Perform first detailed inspection of incoming or purged parts, materials, components, assemblies, equipment and document results
• Coordinate the collection and disposition of purged material
• Determine or assist in determining methods, sequences and procedures for inspection
• Work from written procedures, drawings, sketches and specifications
• Generate Engineering Change Requests to correct drawing issues noted during inspection
• Adapt inspection measuring devices and procedures where necessary
