Job summary

MKS Inc. in Rochester, NY is seeking an Inspector to partner with Engineering, Tech Ops, Quality, Production, Service and customers to inspect product. You will report to the Sr. Prin Quality Engineer and support quality initiatives across multiple teams.

The role emphasizes detailed inspection, documentation, and adherence to procedures. Valuable experience includes sheet metal and cable/wire assemblies, plus familiarity with Oracle, Agile and MS Office suites.

Qualifications

Completion of high school, vocational training or equivalent is preferred.
2+ years of related experience
IPC 610 and 620 certifications preferred
Inspection of sheet metal and/or cables & wire assembly preferred
Piece part inspection preferred
Experience with Oracle, Agile, MS Office and Copilot preferred
Requires inspection experience, reading blueprints and engineering drawings and intermediate mathematical skills

Responsibilities

Perform first detailed inspection of incoming or purged parts, materials, components, assemblies, equipment and document results.
Coordinate the collection and disposition of purged material.
Determine or assist in determining methods, sequences and procedures necessary for inspection.
Work from written procedures, drawings, sketches and specifications.
Generate Engineering Change Requests to correct drawing issues noted during inspection.
Adapt inspection measuring devices and procedures where necessary.
