Job summary

Vitesse Systems, LLC in Jessup, MD is seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector II to inspect components and assemblies for dimensional, aesthetic, and workmanship characteristics. The role also verifies that supplier documentation is complete and accurate and logs data from inspection activities.

You will use micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and hardness testers, operate a CMM, review blueprints, and generate non-conformance reports when needed.

Qualifications

• Must read drawings, blueprints and specifications.
• Experience measuring with calipers, micrometers and height gauges.
• Able to operate inspection equipment with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform all work safely and in compliance with quality policies.
• Follow quality procedures, work instructions and documents.
• Complete paperwork and documentation with each order.
• Verify traveler sign-offs and SPC sheets per good documentation practices.
• Verify part numbers, revisions and data on supplier certifications.
• Inspect parts to blueprint specifications and workmanship standards.
• Ensure inspection tools are calibrated; report non-conformances as needed.
• Identify issues and contribute to corrective actions.
