Job summary

Prince Industries is seeking a Quality Inspector to verify conformance to blueprint specifications and maintain company and customer quality standards for processes, materials, and products. You will measure parts with gauges for receiving, first article, and final inspections, and report defects to the Quality Manager.

Familiarity with ISO procedures and ERP systems is required, with attention to detail and strong math skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• More than 3 years' experience in inspection or related machine operation.
• Degree or certification in a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect materials and products for conformance to blueprint specifications.
• Measure parts with various instruments and gauges for receiving, first article, and final inspection.
• Identify defects or discrepancies and report to Quality Manager as needed.
• Record data and maintain quality standards per ISO procedures.
• May direct workers in measuring and testing product.
• Operate ERP system (Epicor) for data entry or inquiry.
• Reject defective parts and document type of defect.
• Read blueprints and Job Traveler for dimensions and tolerances.
