Job summary

GWS Tool Group in Northlake, WI is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to ensure products meet customer and company standards by inspecting end mills and form tools at the end of production. You will coordinate calibration and servicing of inspection equipment and record disposition data.

The role requires manufacturing experience, strong geometry knowledge, and proficiency with calipers and micrometers. Candidates should be able to read blueprints and work in a fast-paced factory environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 1-3 years industry related experience and/or training.
• Manufacturing experience is required.
• Strong geometry knowledge is required.
• Experience with hand gauges and non contact inspection equipment is required.
• Certification in tool and cutter grinding ideal but not required.
• Knowledge of calipers, micrometers and metrology equipment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect cutting tools manufactured within extremely tight tolerances.
• Examine tools for proper geometry within blueprint specifications.
• Compare quantity and part numbers of items with procurement data to ensure order accuracy.
• Approve or reject items and record inspection data.
• Inspect incoming raw material, coating, vendor tooling, grinding wheel geometry, and final inspections.
• Run inspection programs for in-process and final inspections.
• Assist in etching product identifications.
• Other duties as assigned.
