Job summary

ATI in Huntsville, Alabama is hiring an Inspection Technician for a 2nd shift (2:30 pm – 11:00 pm) with training on 1st shift. You will inspect materials, measure dimensions and verify conformance to customer specifications, while following safety and quality plans.

You must pass an eye exam and collaborate with Engineering & Quality to deliver high-quality results. Experience with measurement tools and a proactive approach to quality are valued, and on-site work is expected.

Qualifications

• Technical training or certification in inspection-related fields is a plus.
• Must pass eye exam to inspect parts.
• Strong reading comprehension of procedures and quality plans.

Responsibilities

• Inspect materials to meet customer requirements.
• Demonstrate proficiency with inspection tools and ensure accurate results.
• Verify surface quality against established acceptance/reject criteria.
• Package materials according to the Quality plan and QC procedures.
• Read and implement procedures and quality plans pertaining to inspection activities.
• Ensure proper calibration of instruments before each batch of material inspection.
• Adhere to safety, security, and environmental standards, including 5S practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering & Quality to achieve conformance.
