nVent is seeking a Quality Inspector for 1st shift in Anoka, MN. The role focuses on conducting thorough inspections, applying precision measurement tools, and ensuring conformance to drawings and work instructions.

You will collaborate with supervision to prioritize tasks and maintain quality standards. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with preference for 1 year in quality processes and familiarity with ISO procedures, along with ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate a

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in the quality process or Quality Management Systems preferred.
• 1 year experience using precision metal fabrication measurement tools preferred.
• Ability to use precision measuring equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometer, paint mil gauges, hardness tester, CMM, measuring tables, optical comparators).
• Ability to interpret and apply Quality System/ISO procedures and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive product inspections based on work instructions, checklists, and drawings.
• Prioritize tasks to meet departmental deliverable goals.
• Identify non-conforming products and initiate NCRs.
• Ensure no active NCRs remain before completing inspections.
• Apply gauges, meters, and devices to verify conformance.
