Job summary

Responsibilities

• Inspects incoming, in-process production, and finished goods by confirming specifications through visual and dimensional tests per part inspection plans.
• Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs.
• Document and communicates quality inspection failures (out of tolerance or out of control conditions) to Supervisors.
• Use and read common measuring devices (tapes, caliper, etc.) to complete product inspections.
• Read and follow detailed blueprints, engineering drawings, work orders, and other applicable documents to determine inspection standards.
• Audit and assess quality documentation for accuracy and recommend improvements.
• Assist with training new inspectors as necessary.
• Work to ensure ongoing success of company housekeeping and organization objectives.
• Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of APT.
• Performs other assigned duties to achieve the goals of the department and company.
