Job summary

Bascom Hunter in Baton Rouge is seeking a detailed and analytical Quality Control Technician to join our team. You will inspect materials and products, perform measurements with calipers and gauges, and document results to ensure compliance with quality standards.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (associate degree or cert preferred) and 3–5 years in manufacturing QC, with knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
• 3–5 years experience in quality control in regulated manufacturing (aerospace/defense preferred).
• Preference for knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications; GD&T preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test materials, components, and products at various production stages.
• Perform measurements using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Document and report inspection results accurately.
• Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and report quality issues or deviations to supervisors.
• Support root cause analysis and CAPA.
• Maintain clean testing areas, tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to resolve quality concerns.
• Participate in continuous improvement to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
