Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Quality Control Technician to validate first piece, restart, and in-process inspections per QCIs to ensure product conformance on the production line.

You will document results on prints, blueprints, or check sheets, operate CMM and RAM Optical devices, and support nonconforming material handling while coordinating with Quality Control Lead and machine operators.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of related manufacturing experience in a production setting.
• Basic MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Knowledge of basic mathematics (decimals, fractions, algebra, geometry).
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and geometric tolerancing; training available.

Responsibilities

• Validate and document first piece set up and restart results using blueprints and QCIs.
• Report defects or unusual conditions to operator/supervisor for investigation.
• Document inspection results on the blueprint routing package.
• Perform in-process and shift inspections per the control plan.
• Cover at least two machining operation areas.
• Record inspection results and escalate nonconformances as needed.
• Support red tag and segregation of suspect product.
• Perform CMM calibration at shift start and after changes.
• Use hand tools, air gauging, CMMs, and RAM Optical devices as required.
• Contribute to MSA and capability studies as directed.
• Complete run and control charts as per the plan.
• Get trained on all measurement tools listed in the control plan.
