Job summary

Freeman Enclosure Systems is seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Quality Control Inspector to join our Batavia manufacturing team. The Inspector will inspect fabricated and assembled enclosure components to ensure they meet engineering specifications, customer requirements and production expectations.

The ideal candidate reads blueprints, takes accurate measurements, identifies defects, and works closely with production to drive corrective actions while maintaining thorough inspection records

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets engineering drawings and specs.
• Maintains accurate inspection records in a fast-paced production environment.
• Identifies defects and supports corrective actions with production.
• Works with teams to ensure conformance to customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections of enclosure components and products.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Verify dimensions, tolerances, fit, alignment, and workmanship.
• Use precision measuring equipment to inspect parts and assemblies.
• Identify defects and non-conforming materials and document results.
• Communicate quality issues to supervisors and production teams.
• Assist with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Ensure reworked products meet specifications before release.
• Maintain a clean, organized inspection area and follow safety policies.
